Meet the Team
Chief Inspirational Officer
The Studio’s fearless leader is all about growth. Lisa encourages team members, connecting their talents to personal and professional improvement. “The best part of my job is the amazing staff I get to lead.”
Lisa also challenges The Studio’s clients to get involved and serve the community. And she walks the talk. In addition to running The Studio and R3, Lisa also founded Dwell, a non-profit transitional housing community for women. And most recently, Lisa opened The Remnant, a resale shop connected to The Studio. The Remnant employs residents of Dwell and sells goods made by Dwell residents.
The Studio and Laurel/Hattiesburg communities are lucky to have Lisa, who is always finding new ways to give back.
From an early age, Kasha was interested in makeup and beauty. But she pursued a different career at a traditional college before landing in cosmetology school. “Every time I went into The Studio, I knew that energy was exactly what I wanted and needed in my life.”
Eighteen years after becoming a stylist, Kasha’s just as excited about her career now as when she began. She has a passion for every aspect of beauty from cutting, updos and color, to skincare and makeup. But as a redhead herself, she particularly loves creating red hair color.
Kasha keeps her skills sharp with advanced education from the Aveda Institutes and finds inspiration in the beauty of nature around her every day.
Bianca specializes in blonding and balayage, and has numerous advanced education classes under her belt, including “Beyond Balayage” and “Haute Couture French Hair Cutting.” She’s in tune with current pop culture icons and fashion, staying current on new trends and techniques so she can implement them in her work.
But first and foremost, Bianca’s a team player. “We’re a solid team of extremely talented individuals at The Studio. We work hard together to make The Studio the best it can possibly be.”
Marcus has a passion for color and loves working with clients of all backgrounds and ages. He keeps his skills up to date and relevant with advanced cutting, color and styling classes, learning from the best in the beauty business. “I wanted to have a job that let me be creative and work with people—I didn’t know how inspired I would be by the industry until I started school and everything clicked!”
With daily inspiration from his clients and team, Marcus continues to thrive artistically, and looks forward to continued career growth with The Studio team.
Brittany has a passion for learning and has completed numerous advanced education classes including product knowledge, color, cutting and styling with top Aveda artists. She has a flair for short hair, and loves cutting textured women’s cuts, pixies and men’s cuts. “I love the beauty industry for its constant evolution and opportunities to learn and grow.”
The relationships and friendships she builds with her clients and fellow team members also drive Brittany’s passion for the beauty business.
Hanna loves digging into the details during her client consultations. Armed with advanced education in cutting techniques, color and blow outs, she’s prepared to execute any style, but particularly loves balayage, pixie cuts and blondes.
“But the best part of my job is meeting new people— I love socializing and serving people.”
Guest Care Manager
A University of Southern Mississippi grad, Morgan thrives on guest interaction. Communication is her jam, and her mission is to make our clients’ day. “Customer service is something I take pride in. Making an impact on someone makes all my hard work worth it.”
In her spare time, Morgan loves to run, travel and attend music festivals.
Virtual Front Desk Assistant
In 2016, Jessica needed a change from corporate retail and advertising, and chose to create her new career path at The Studio (lucky us!). “I love this amazing team I work with and meet so many good people through our clientele.”
Jessica takes pride in the welcoming vibe The Studio front desk team gives off as they work seamlessly together to provide the best customer service to our guests.
Karlie chose cosmetology as a career for her senior project, and after a day of shadowing in the salon, she knew it was what she wanted to do with her life. She specializes in both cutting and color, but cutting is her niche. “I’m very detail oriented and believe in going the extra mile to give a haircut that can be easily styled at home and grows out gracefully.”
Karlie’s skills have been honed by advanced education, and she thrives on the combination of artistry and precision. “I’ve always needed a creative outlet, which my job provides. My absolute favorite thing to do is transformations, even if it’s through small changes.”
KAYLA HERRING COLLIER
As a teen, Kayla battled problematic skin, which ignited her desire to choose a career where she could help others with skin and nail issues. She has taken advanced training in dermaplaning, electrolysis, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, lash tinting, high frequency, dip nail, and much more.
“I love helping clients reach their skin and nail goals, whether it’s giving them pretty polished nails and glowing skin, or removing imperfections and treating problematic issues.”
Before she was a stylist, Lynlee was a client at The Studio. Lynlee’s stylist, Brittany, encouraged her to pursue her passion for beauty. Now Lynlee loves meeting and talking to new people while doing her favorite thing—hair. “I always know what a client is booked for, but I love the surprise element when a partial highlight turns into a balayage—or a new friendship!”
Lynlee also enjoys branching out into occasion makeup and hair, and loves the diversity of her work.
“A genuine smile and (pre-Covid) hug is the best feedback from a client! There’s no better feeling than spinning that chair around and watching your client’s face light up!”
DEVIN PITTMAN HENRY
Guest Care Manager/Stylist
Devin loves meeting people from all walks of life and making her clients feel beautiful. After two years as the guest care manager at our Laurel location, Devin’s now behind the chair. “I’m excited for our guests to get to know a different side of me.”
In her free time, you’ll find Devin enjoying the outdoors with his family and supporting the University of Southern Mississippi baseball.
Hair Stylist and Make-up Artist
Satchl regularly takes advantage of Aveda’s continued education in advanced color, cutting and styling techniques, and has discovered a special passion for highlighting. “I love when clients want platinum blonde, but I also enjoy brunette beauties seeking a subtle statement that’s easy to maintain. Highlighting gives me the ability to please my client in whatever transformation they choose, whether it be the lightest blonde or the smallest pop of color.
“I love the connection I share with my clients and want to make them feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside.”
Taylor is learning and growing at The Studio and loving every minute of it. “I adore all aspects of being a cosmetologist—my goal is to make people feel better about themselves and add a little happiness to their lives.”
Appreciative of the trust clients put in her skills, Taylor finds joy in their pleasure. “One of my favorite guest reactions was when someone jumped up and down out of happiness.”
Ever since she can remember, Kirsten has loved dabbling in hair and makeup. As a teenager, she cut and colored all her friends’ hair, and is thrilled to be doing it professionally today. Kirsten has a passion for color and highlighting, but that comes second to getting to know her clients. “I love making my clients feel good about themselves.”
Paige graduated from Hatfields Mississippi College of Beauty Culture, and now loves making her guests at The Studio feel special.
When she’s not at the salon, Paige loves reading, cooking and eating “an ungodly amount of sushi.”
Guest Care Representative
In search of a new career path, Amanda found herself at The Studio and now thrives on the interaction with guests and team members. “I love being a part of the welcoming environment our guests feel when they walk through The Studio’s door.”
Amanda is an avid traveler and once ziplined (upside down!) over a river in Belize.
A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Savannah joined The Studio in the guest services department before becoming part of the office team. She plays an integral role—making sure everyone gets paid!
As Savannah raises her young family, she appreciates the work-life balance she gets at The Studio and the flexibility in her schedule. “Lisa has always been so accommodating, and I know I always have a place at The Studio, no matter what season of life I’m in.”
In addition to her expertise in color and cutting, Carly is trained in Vomor extensions and Brazilian blowout certified. “I love the creativity behind color and cutting, and take my time to give clients exactly what they want.”
Her true passion for blonding shines through in her blended color masterpieces and stunning, detailed highlights.
When Ashley isn’t working part time at The Studio, she’s a second-grade teacher. Originally a client, Ashley admired the team-based system and quality of work she observed at The Studio before joining the team. “I wanted to help guests have a similar experience and become part of The Studio family.”
Ashley’s impeccable customer service skills are second to none, and she takes pride in providing The Studio’s guests with the tools and information for maintaining hair care outside the salon.
Certified in Vomor extensions, Lauren also loves creating vibrant colors and rising to new challenges. “I love doing any kind of hair and enjoy working with a client who has a vision for her look. When guests tell me how much confidence they have with a new cut or color, I know what I do is much more than adding color or removing length from hair.”
Lauren also donates her talents to a local residential women’s rehabilitation facility, cutting hair for residents every three to four months. “I love the relationships I build with all my clients and being able to be the medium that helps them better express themselves through their hair.”
Jessica became a color specialist in a nine-month program at Gene Juarez salons in Seattle. She has also completed color internships and many continuing education courses. “I continued my advanced training with a six-month balayage certification program.” Her specialty is highlights, and she loves creating dimensional looks in all hues, from sun-kissed to fall shades to bold colors.
As a color specialist at The Studio, Jessica loves seeing her guests’ happy faces as she dries their hair and they can see the gorgeous results.
