Lisa Cochran, Salon Owner and Hair Stylist

From Laurel, MS, Lisa worked for the Loreal company for several years where she developed a passion for hair color, which she considers “by far the favorite part of her job.” She is a certified Strategies salon consulting coach and won the 2006 Charitable Outreach Award under the Professional Beauty Association. Lisa is described as “inspirational and fun” seen with guests ages 2 to 92 in her chair having a good time. She says she loves making people look and feel good and is “big on volunteering and community outreach.”

Savannah Smith, Guest Services Coordinator

Savannah is from Sumrall, MS and graduated from Southern Miss with a bachelor’s degree in tourism management. She loves to travel and “DIY” in her spare time, creating wreaths and other party decor. Savannah also is a self-described “product junkie” who loves trying new beauty products.

Kayla Herring, Nail Technician and Waxing Professional

From Beaumont, MS, Kayla graduated from the Nail Academy located in downtown Hattiesburg. She also holds an associate’s degree in nursing from Jones County Junior College and bachelor’s degrees in
psychology and biology from William Carey University. Kayla says she loves to serve and uplift people by making them feel pretty while offering “very honest” opinions.

Kasha Hughes, Hair Stylist

Kasha graduated from the cosmetology program at Jones County Junior College. Her hometown is Laurel, MS. In addition to cuts and color, Kasha also specializes in makeup and skin care. She describes
herself as a compassionate person who loves to help others. “The joy the clients have after an appointment makes the job rewarding and keeps the industry alive,” Kasha says.

Brittany Merrill, Hair Stylist

From Beaumont, MS, Brittany graduated from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s cosmetology program. When asked what she loves about the beauty industry, Brittany says, “Each day is never the same.”

Karlie Ely Carter, Hair Stylist

Karlie graduated from Mississippi College of Beauty Culture. Her hometown is Richton, MS. Karlie says she loves the technical side of hair cutting, but also the innovative approach in creating shapes. “Cutting, coloring and styling hair is art to me,” she says.

Marcus Morton, Hair Stylist

Marcus was born in Austin, TX but grew up in Hattiesburg. He gained perspective living overseas in Scotland and England and later graduated from  Mississippi College of Beauty Culture. Marcus says he is passionate about the beauty industry and is “inspired by creative colors and hairstyles and modern classics.”

Bianca McQueen, Hair Stylist

Bianca is from Wiggins, MS, and she attended Chris’ Beauty College in Gulfport. She has always wanted to work at an Aveda salon, and feels blessed to call The Studio home. She is our resident styling maven, and also has plenty of talent in color (especially ombre’), cuts, and waxing.
